Summertime with my little honey

Momma has gotten a bit behind on sharing some of Selah's latest and greatest moments and pics. She is growing like a weed right now! I would not be surprised if at her 2 year doctor's appointment, she has not made her way right back into the growth chart at above 0%. :) Her 2nd birthday is right around the corner. A-mazing.

At 23 months, she especially enjoys building with bristle blocks, reading books, eating cheese, helping me with chores (especially sweeping up and laundry).

She is talking up a storm and really developing that sweet little personality of hers. Some recent conversations of ours:

if I leave the room (for 2 seconds):
Selah: Mom, are ya here?
Me: Yes honey, I am in other room.
Selah: Oh, ok. I here.
Me: Oh good. Thanks for letting me know.

when I go in to get her out of the crib:
Selah: Well, hi!!!!
(this is something that I have said a few times and she has taken it on as her own...so cute!)

after leaving play time with her friends:
Me: It'll be okay honey.
Selah: Mom. I sad.

Not sure if it's just that she's my kid and I stand in awe of her growth and development every day, but she really seems to excel in the areas of self-expression and intuition. I am so thankful that she is strong and healthy.

Below is a recap of her past few months:
Celebrating the birthday of one of her favorite peeps:
Hangin' with Momma:
Fun at the splash pad for Journey's birthday:
What pure fun looks like:
Sporting her $3 (real) uggs that I got at the consignment sale:
Selah did my hair. Don't I look fabulous?:
We had a little photo shoot with my birthday present (new lens) at a nearby park. I loved this tree and how grand it was in comparison to my little peach:
Cutie pie:
She's a contemplator already...
Bath time! Check out how curly her hair gets when there's humidity.
The saddest face ever. I believe I had just said no to watching Elmo. She is getting super good at rockin the sad face. Josh says that she gets this face from me. I refuse to believe this...
She likes to play the piano.
And she LOVES to eat pancakes. This morning, I had 3 pancakes with berries (and I was full). She had 5 and started a 6th!
This was supposed to be for Embrace the Camera, but I've been horrible with remembering to upload...
Off topic: Lookie who found mommies bird feeder?!
A big day! Her first attempt at big girl panties. :) She peed in the floor twice within 15 minutes. So, we put a diaper back on....no hurry, right? Incidentally, she HAD gone poopy on the potty just a few minutes beforehand.
The big girl in her big girl panties cuddling on our new (old) couches with Dad.
