Happy birthday America! And Selah! (10 months that is)

Holy smokes! Alot can happen in a few weeks....if I don't record this stuff right now, I will forget important milestones and fun stories! :) There was Aunt Stacey's wedding, and visiting our nation's capitol and Granny came to visit and swimming for the first time and crawling and clapping and waving and saying momma and dadda and hey and even maybe bye bye and dog (sort of). Woooooweeeee she has been a busy girl! And not to mention her first bruise :( (and it was a doosy), and her obsession with watermelon (and most food really), and learning how to dance on July the 4th! Girl's got rhythm! She celebrated July 4th in style, watching fireworks way past her bedtime. Below are some shots from all of this hoopla:
Selah and Daddy float down the natural lazy river at Kelly Springs. Loves water. Except if it's cold. But, she got used to it.
Selah and Granny in the back yard (new fence by Josh).

Selah and Uncle Ryan chillin at the beach

Selah and Daddy standing in front of President Obama's house. It was their first ever visit to D.C.:

Here's her first bruise from trying to pull up and landing on a hard wood floor... :(

Selah samples some italian ice. (A little TOO much Granny.....)

Sweet girl plays in her basket full of toys which is a morning ritual right now...

Mommy and Selah at the beach. Think she'll be a dancer? She loves to watch So You Think You Can Dance. She claps for the performances and dances along....

First swim day at the beach...Don't you just want to eat her face off??? She's so stinkin cute!

Selah's baptism with Ted at City Church. (woot, woot! we love our church family!)

Selah and Daddy at Epcot (thanks to Kristi for the FREE PASSES!) We all had a big time.

This is one of her newest talents...she just stands there. For like a half an hour.

Just after a bath. CRAZY hair.

Posing with Aunt Stacey on her big day!

Taking in the sights in DC in style. Uncle Dan makes sure that she doesn't dive out of the stroller.
I wish this pic turned out better. It says "I Have A Dream" and it's the very place where the late great Martin Luther King, Jr. made his speech. I hope and pray that Selah will grow up in a world that embraces our differences...

Mmmmmmm......bread.

We will call this "poop face." And she will hate me years from now for taking this picture.

Fuzzy fireworks. She wasn't phased by the boom.

Selah's take on crawling is to use her right foot to scoop the floor. So cute. Don't worry my physiologically aware friends....I am facilitating weight bearing on her right knee so that this is just a phase. :) She first crawled in mid June and since then is unstoppable.

Josh and I reflect often on how amazing this little person is to us. We feel so blessed to be her parents and are overwhelmed with the joy that she brings to each of us. She has such a precious spirit and she really LOVES people. People stop us all of the time to comment on how bright eyed she is. For those of you that don't get to see her, I'm sad. There is so much about her personality that can't be captured on film. So, please feel free to come and visit! :) Many blessings to all of you....
