This is Mary Beates. And her husband Mike. They are fabulous
people. I am not sure if Mike sews, but Mary does!
And she wants to help us learn. Yay Mary!
Sooooo, here's the plan. We will get together for our first official Cewing Circle meeting on Election day, which is November 2nd. Man, I need to register to vote in Orange County. But, I digress...The current plan is to meet together once monthly, sewing machines and patterns, etc. in tow. Right now, it's looking like we will meet on the first Tuesday of every month, so hopefully that works for you. Hannah has been kind enough to share her lovely home with us. How many sewing machines does it take to blow a breaker? Hmmm...
Right now, Hannah dear is in South Africa, so I am responsible to spread the word. Tell your friends....
Here is your official invite:
Who: You. If you want to learn how to sew....
When: Tues. Nov 2nd at 7:30pm
Where: Hannah's house: 335 Cathcart Ave ORL 32803
What to Bring: Yourself. Ideas. Fabric. And a project if you
have one in mind. :) A sewing machine would be good.
But there should be plenty there too if you need to share.
I am thinking that a little wine or tasty drink would not
be a bad idea either.
The first meeting will be a time where we chat about what kinds of projects we'd like to do, and get to know one another on a more intimate, sewing machine kind of level. It will hopefully be a chill place where we can come to relax and do something crafty. Who knows, maybe we will actually be able to produce something cute! :) I'm shooting for an Anthropologie style apron so that I can get my bake and cook on without getting oil stains on my clothes...Hope to see you there! :)
*My name is Melonie Grover and I approved (and typed) this message. :) Don't forget to vote!
**If this is the first time you are reading about the cewing circle, fear not. I know how to spell pretty well. It's just a fun little way to name our group, seeing as how it was born out of a City Church discussion about a cewing circle...witty, right? All c's?...work with me, okey doke? :)
