Happy Half Birthday Selah!

On March 5, Selah was 1 1/2 years old! I love the idea of celebrating half birthday and am thankful to my dear friend Melissa for introducing that idea to me. It's hard to believe that Selah is already 18 months old and growing so fast. But seeing is believing! We just had her doctor's appointment this morning, and Selah is weighing in now at exactly 20 pounds. She has officially gone off of the percentile chart for weight at less than 0%. But, the doc isn't worried at all, since she is intelligent and great with motor skills. She is simple just a widdle peanut.

If I were to name this chapter of our little munchkins journey, I think I would call it :
MELMO! And this would be the cover:
This is because she is obsessed with the fuzzy red monster Elmo on Sesame Street. She requests to watch him many times per day, saying Melmo Mease! (while motioning "more in sign language). Mease is her way of saying more please! Cute, eh? I get good practice on not allowing her to have her way everytime, and so we agree that typically we watch Elmo for about an hour every day or so. I found this t-shirt at Target the other day and could not resist the temptation to get it for her. She LOVES it!

Here are some snapshots of the last few months:
Wearing daddies shoes!
Wearing Momma's boots!
Jumping on Momma's belly is fun!!!!!!! This is also a glimpse of some of her new teeth. For the longest time, she had only 3 teeth and then in the course of a few months she has probably 13 now. Poor girl has been in lots of pain. :( Thank you Jesus for Tylenol and teething tablets!
Miss Thang loves to use utensils!
Pretty girl...
Cutie pie...
This gives a glimpse into her spunk. :) Not sure where she gets that.....
She's been digging having something to carry around her toys. This is an elephant backpack from Africa! (Thanks Sue!) She loves to talk about elephants too, so it's perfect!
One fun day we went to downtown Sanford with Aunt Stacey. And Momma had a lovely time taking pictures of both of them!
There's one of Aunt Stace that we love!
And a super sweet one of the beeb!
This was Selah's way of holding a popsicle.
But preferred that someone else hold it cause it was so cold!!!
Can you tell that I just woke up?
My bouncy cow!
Trying out Daddy's hat. But, it's yet to be determined who her NFL team will be. Just sayin'....
Backyard fun!
She says "flower" alot. And this day had lots of fun touching (and plucking) some of the succulents on the back porch.
She said "side" often to request venturing outdoors.
I predict that Selah will be a shutterbug just like Momma. She loves checking out the camera and looking at the pic after it has been snapped.
I mean seriously....what a cutie petutie!!!!!!!
