My first two months by Selah Daisy Grover :)

Hello everyone! After two months of adjusting to life as a new happy family, mommy is all ready to help me be known by loved ones far and wide. I was born on September 5th, tipping the scales at 8 pounds and stretching out to 20 inches in length. Mom had a little bit of a rough time getting me out, so the doctor had to intervene and do a c-section. We spent 5 days in the hospital recovering. Lots of friends came to see us and support us in the hospital which was an amazing blessing. They even brought us barbeque-which technically, I enjoyed through mom's milk. :) My granny came down to help out for the first week of being home, which again was a very big help. Sometimes for fun, we call her Shamu. (There's a story to that.)

For the past 8 weeks, we've all been learning about each other, sharing naps together, and cleaning up lots of spit-up (the doc says I'm a puker). From all indications, it looks like I am going to be a mover and a shaker. I've already had my first ride on an airplane (to go and meet my family in Ohio and to attend Aunt Samia's wedding). I got to see the beach for the first time, but I didn't even really know it was there. Chaos doesn't seem to bother me much...as a matter of fact, I am more content out with lots of people sometimes than I am at home in the quiet. I'm a smiley little tyke...started doing that on purpose (not just when I had to toot) at about 3 weeks old.

It's been a big week for us: At my 2 month doctor's appointment, I weighed 10 pounds 12 ounces and I was 22 inches long. I had to get several shots, but I was a champ and cried less than mommy did. I dressed up as a Daisy for Halloween, which was really cute. I slept in my crib for the whole night (with one little interlude at 4am to eat). AND, after 6 weeks of mom and I being stranded at home (cause daddy's car died) and with the help of several amazing friends that love us, we got a fabulous new (used) car!

Thanks for checking in on us and stay tuned for more of my adventures....
